Help with Oblivion kthx

I was recently shown the Overhaul mod and the Enhanced Oblivion mod, so I decided to reinstall Oblivion to play these mods.

But guess what!?

I start up the Oblivion launcher, the mods selected in the Data File option, and the mods simply don't work!

Has anyone encountered this problem, is there a fix?!

Did you patch oblivion before you tried this? The only other thing I can think of is conflicting mods.

Those really are two great mods; they make the game worth playing...
Just rubbing it in heh, heh, in all seriousness, as has been mentioned make sure the patch is on, maybe view the integrity of the game cache.
