So I finally bought a desktop computer because it was only 300 bucks, so I'm no longer using my laptop. But I've ran into the issue where when I'm playing CS: Source after about an hour the game just locks up and I have to reboot my PC.

Overheating issues? System specs are Pentium D 920, 2 gigs of RAM, 250gig HD, then I threw in a x1900 GT and a 500 watt antec PSU. Right now the catalyst control center says the card is running at 75 degrees celcius, and yeah I'm using the latest drivers. Any ideas homies?

75 is quite hot but i dont think its the card. Seeing any artifacts? Whats cpu temp? New thermal paste and cleaning the heatsink probably would sort it out. Could also be a software problem.

It's a HP, the game runs smooth with no artifacts at a constant 60 fps with verisync on. The PC is new so the heatsink is still clean.

try leaving the side of your case open if its bad airflow. also it could be a driver problem so you might want to check up on that.
