Ok it seems my shitty computer has now decided to get all bitchy at me. Since yesterday, my computer began lagging like crazy without any freaking reason. I didn't start any program at all, I just didn't use the computer for few mins and it decided to run all laggy. Everytime I restart the computer, it sometimes freezes in middle of my desktop after showing XP logo. And another weird thing is, System Idle Process always seems to be in 99 CPU. Don't know what that means but I'm assuming it takes up whole bunch of memories becuse of that thing and probably its the reason why my comp is running very laggy. There is nothing wrong with my firewall so I doubt it's a virus. Anyone got any ideas?

When System Idle shows 99, it means that 99% of the comp is idle not the other way around.

Do the following:

1) scan for malware,virus,adware, etc...
2) clean registry
3) tweak services.msc, disable services you don't need
4) remove unnecessary junk from startup
5) defrag
6) reboot

Keep in mind, reformatting is your last resort. I personally wouldn't suggest it unless you've really tried fixing it. You might think it's easier to reformat to fix your problem, but you'll still have to spend hours updating things (Windows, drivers, flash, etc), as well as downloading and installing your programs. Not to mention getting your settings back.

Anyway, what Gunner has suggested will most likely work.
