I have Half Life 2 Collector's edition. I got a new computer and tried to install it, it was going fine until it got to the Active X 9.0 test. It said that it would not attempt to Update. I moved to push the next button and it was grayed out. There were no boxes to check or Fields to fill in. It had not installed the bulk of the game. I'm stuck, please help me.

DirectX, you mean? What graphics card do you have?

That should run it. I take it you've tried several times?

Yah, i have. It wont start installing the game. If i remember right the Direct X was the last of the prep. so if the button worked it would start installing right after.

Register your CD key over Steam and download it instead.
