I'd appreciate help with a problem I'm having with HL2.
I recently updated the driver for my video card. After the update I changed the video setting on the game option field from4:3 aspect to 16x9. My screen went blank and I get an message on my monitor stating "Input signal out of range". Shutdown the game and restarted computer, same result. Unistalled the game, and then reinstalled completely. Same result.

Any suggestions?

make sure the resolution matches the maximum resolution of you're monitor. if that doesnt work you might have to go back to the old driver.

Add -safe to launch options.
