Ok since everyone decided to stop responding to the Far Cry thread once I post, I'll make a damn thread. Can someone please tell me wtf is up with the brightness? I keep getting these like cloudy colors and my screen gets so bright i can barely see the friggin game. Then at certain times i can see everything perfectly in all its beauty. Someone please tell me wtf is going on?!

quinny, u might need to use Rage3d Tweak to change the brightness.

u can find it at rage3d.com
it works for me when brightness won't adjust using the in-game settings..

its not the brightness, and i have an ati 9800 pro. the whole screen just gets really bright and then like green and red and yellow colors are like all blurred over the objects. what it looks like is the lighting but its all ****ed up:-\

Make sure you don't have FSAA enabled under your D3D control panel.
Also, texture and mipmap settings should be at max in your D3D control panel

That may just be the special effects. Try toning them down in the advanced options menu.

its a gamma problem, updating the drivers should help, not to mention better performance

Go to the card setting and try putting the 3d settings to default and if that doesnt do it get the latest drivers.

seriosly, get the latest drivers anyway. i have the same graphics card and i have no problem. the drivers are quite small. they r about 25 meg. if u have 56k, dl them. if u have up to 256k, dl them now. if u have 512k +, y havent u got them allready???
