So.I installed HL2 from my dvd....i read that i have to create a Steam account..good.
So I started Steam, i fill in the places : account name and the password....click on next.....DENG! a message appear " You can't do this action while Steam is in Not Connected mode"...AAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRGH!

But WHAT the hell I have to do to Activate it?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!¨ :frown: :frown:

Same problem. Im getting sick of typing this, but I really need to get it to work! Im at a Uni where the network doesnt allow for Steam, so far I have had no success. If you are on a similar network, im sorry to tell you that Half-Life 2 is more of No-Life for you.

no....my is a "private" client. I don't have any firewall...so don't know what I have to do to start steam!!

But I have also to register HL2 before (tring)creating a Steam account?
