Help!

Im at a loss with this one...

I installed the game as usual and Steam did its validation thing. Then when I try to load it after some HD and DVD drive activity nothing happens...Apparently other people have the same problem too. Is there ANY solution to this apart from getting a refund?

My system P4 3.1 ghz, 512 Ram, 128 Meg graphics card...

Over at techspot there is a whole thread related to this problem (at least I think you prolly have the same problem)
