512MB RAM
Samsung 17" LCD monitor
ATI Radeon x300/SE 128MB

Do you think i can run Half-life 2 DECENTLY?

your cpu is fine, good processing speed, but x300 is not designed for gaming, so you might have a bit of fps problem on graphical intense situations.

Hrmm..thank a lot. I was thinking of purchasing a high end graphic card earier on but just can't come to a decision. I have ATI and GeForce card to choose from. Which should i choose and which card should i purchase. Any help would be appreciated.

Y'know, you could have as easily downloaded the demo to check this out.

Plus the fact system requirements (minimum and recommended) are on the back of the retail box. :|

Buy an ATi card. From what I can tell, they seem to have less issues with HL2. That, and I'm an ATi fanboy

i would have said Geforce myself, I've had both ATI and Nvidia Geforce, and i personally prefer the latter. which are ur specific cards of choice?
