When playing some games my computer freezes every ten minutes and I have to restart. When I'm lucky enough to be able to leave the game on my own will I can't enter it again without rebooting. When I try to enter the game it give me an error about Client03. I have all the updated drivers for everything on my computer. My specs are:

Windows ME :(
AMD 1.2 Ghz
512 RAM
Geforce 2 Ultra

Are any of these known for causing problem. Yes I know Windows ME is the most horrible thing to ever be set upon this planet. I don't know if its the sole thing thats causing my problems. Any help would be appriciated.

Try refomatting and going with XP Pro.

Didnt you get a new computer too?

I did reformat and its even worse... I am but its going to be a week or so and I do want to play something :(

Edit: Some of the hardware is compatible with XP

your problem sounds like overheating. get MBM5 and keep an eye on your diode, and take the side off your comp and set a fan up so it blows into your case(makes a HUGE difference).

I Think like homer its due to overheating.. but if isn't that, check how much ram your mobo can support.. if you have 2 much of it it sometimes results in the computer to run very unstable and sometimes frezez.....

I think its the heating because I've had problems with heating before.

Are you overclocking anyhting? If so, drop it down some, and, like Fat_Bob said, openm up a side panel and set up a fan.

hey, I said that!

Watch, he installs Windows XP later and everything is fine.
Um, more memory than the board can handle would only cause the PC not to boot.
It very well could be a heat problem or a memory leak. Win9x systems have been known for memory leaks. I don't know of anything that isnt compatible with XP. Even if it says it isnt compatible, there are drivers that should support your devices. They just arnt verified by microsoft but thats no big deal.

it has to be something dealing with the ram, either to fast, to much, or wrong support, - (win me doesnt support)
