I love it how they were trying to put out the fire with water on the third video. Who said the police in Korea use violence?

Do you ever stop and wonder why such shows of civil unrest takes place? There's something deeply wrong with your country if there things are happening as often as you make it look like.

Numbers I don't understand your obsession with riots, protesting, and governmental oppression...

Can't you just talk about cats like the rest of us for just one day?

I used to think he actually was part of the Riot Squad in his area.

Because humans are retards. Thats about the only answer.

1996, Yonsei University Riots. Students: "US GOVERMENT IS SAME AS KOREAN GOVERMENT! END CAPITALIST WORLD WITH FLAMES OF REVOLUTION!"

And then they killed 16 officers with surphuric acid and molotovs. 3000 arrested, 1,200 hospitalized, 700 casulties on the police side, with nearly a division's worth of troops (25,000) needed to bring down the unrest. Losses counted in the tens of billions.

Yeah.

2003, labor rights protests. The year of the firebomb. 426 police casulties.

2006, 320 casulties.

Interestingly enough, those protests don't really have an effect on the general societal order and economy.

two sides to every story:

Amnesty International said:
This report is about the ill-treatment of students by the police which occurred in August 1996, at the time of a violent confrontation between students and riot policemen on the campus of Yonsei University. In the space of one week over 5800 students were arrested and taken to police stations throughout Seoul. There were widespread reports of beatings, threats and sexual harassment in the course of arrest and interrogation

The government was quick to blame the students for the incident, labelling their activities as "pro-North Korean" and "communist". Furthermore, it appears to have used the incident as a pretext for a new crackdown against alleged leftist groups and as an excuse for increasing the powers of the police and intelligence agency, the Agency for National Security Planning (ANSP).

SK government spreading propaganda? no, it cant be!
