So I started watching this recently... I'm about four episodes in.

I don't like it dammit. There are so many things wrong with it. SO MANY THINGS WRONG.

SYLAR, I AM YOUR MOTHER. PETER, I AM YOUR BROTHER - What the ****? Come on... I rolled my eyes.

DOCTOR JECKYL MR HYDE MOHINDER - So unbelievably cliche.

PERSON WHO CAN PAINT THE FUTURE - It's been done before... IN THIS VERY SERIES.

RELIGIOUS NATHAN - Oh please god help us all.

DOOMSDAY APOCALYPSE - A heroes season without some silly doomsday of huge magnitude where everybody feels destined to stop it would be nice.

And so many other things wrong. This season lacks Heroes charm. I hope it can redeem itself. I worry it won't.

EDIT: And this recent episode I watched.
HELLO, DOES SYLAR ****ING FORGET HE STOLE THAT MECHANIC CHICKS ABILITY OF SUPER HEARING!? And he's sitting there like a dumb **** looking perplexed and wishing he could hear while Noah is talking in the distance.

Continuity out the ****ing window!

Oh... and Hiro stabbing Ando? Hiro would never sacrifice Ando... AND SO ****ING EASILY.

I AM MOTHER****ING PISSED OFF! CONTINUITY OUT THE WINDOW AND OUT OF THE SOLAR SYSTEM!

EDIT: Okay maybe I was a little too premature about the Hiro thing.

Maya

Wow... all that ****ing long drawn out bullshit of her storyline that I hated last season... all for nothing in this season? Great... ****ing great. **** YOU!

Claire's Biological Mom

I'm fine with them giving her some air time... but does she have to flash her ****ing fire from her hands every ****ing chance she gets as if I and those around her are going to somehow forget what her power is?

That's about this season?

I didn't know it was called Heroes: Vigilantes. I thought it was Heroes: Villains. I thought that thread was about some other new season or whatever.

Otherwise I would have posted in that thread.

Sylar

Hey I'm a dumbass and I'm going to believe everything anybody tells me almost immediately in such a way that none of it makes sense. First mom, then dad... who next?

I agree although, season 3 is a cluster **** of a season, they seem to write into something and then dig a hole, how do they solve this problem? kill off all story arch characters and restart again and again and again... and so on.

it was only til the last 6 episodes they seemed to correcting the the problem, due to the fact they got season one's writer back after pushing whatyoumacallit got canceled.

I stopped three episodes into the second season and I'm glad I did.

Season 1 was the only good season, even though the finale was awful.

They actually fixed a few of those, although everything after Season One is still bullshit.

And the first season was only ever good, never great.

Raz, do yourself a favor and stop watching immediately. Go spend your time on something infinitely more productive like reading a highly recommended book or chewing away at your own kneecaps. I wish I had.

The worst part is that at the end of each season or volume or whatever they always have the worst possible ****ing conclusions, and to make things worse they skimp out on special effects every single ****ing time they could put them to use.

I can't bring myself to watch it any more, not even out of morbid curiosity. They have broken continuity so many times now it's not even worth bothering with.

The fundamental flaw with the show lies in the fact that generally one power is pretty pathetic on its own (oh I can fly..oh I'm a telepath..) and unlimited powers is too much. Thus they always find they have to gimp either Peter or Sylar at any given opportunity because lets face it either of them could probably own the universe given their mad mutant skillz at this point in time, or as rightly pointed out the writers conveniently forget what skillz they gave them previously....

Back in season 1 when things were going well for the show (whilst things were going badly for Lost)Tim Kring made a big thing about declaring that he never read comic books at all when conceiving the series, but in a lot of ways it probably would have been judicious if he had, that way he'd have avoided finding himself ending up in this conundrum.

Maybe someone will reboot the series 10 years from now.

In a way it's been like watching comic book history (from the 'Darker and Edgier' period) replayed out as live-action. With a shoddier budget.

The show is all over the place. Plot holes galore. They ended this season pretty badly imo.
I Am not gonna spoil it for you. I will say this though. They could have used Claire's blood instead of letting that character die.

Oh god, I'd forgotten about that stupid loophole with Claire's blood. Honestly, the writers just don't have the ****ing guts to kill off
Sylar once and for all. God, he bores me.

Now they're going to have some crappy Nathan/Sylar conflict for the next season and I'm seriously questioning my sanity in continuing to watch this show.

This is without a doubt the most terrible destruction of a good series I have ever seen. These episodes make me FURIOUS. And I'm going to watch all of them... right til the end. I just finished episode 10 of season 3. I hear they're planning a fourth season. Wow... I never thought I would actually HATE heroes.

FURIOUS! ****ing.

They ended this season pretty badly imo.
Especially since, IMO, it had started to get really entertaining again. Well, Sylar anyway. Throwing out all the drama surrounding him and getting back to him being a murderous psycho was the best thing they'd done for the show since the first season.

The ending to part 4 ended up being so weak.

These reviews from IGN are a good written description of what was also going on in my mind as I was watching these.

Except I was a little more extreme.

EDIT: Completely illustrative of the absolutely terrible writing of this season, you need look no further than the episode with the comic book shop and the two nerds in there.

Seth Green: I think Isaac Mendez is dead...
(and then IMMEDIATELY afterwards)
Seth Green: The day that he died, Isaac Mendez bequeathed...

Yeah... so what is it you MOTHER****ING MORON!? YOU THINK ISAAC IS DEAD OR YOU KNOW HE'S DEAD? IF YOU KNEW HE WAS DEAD, WHY DID YOU SAY YOU THOUGHT HE WAS DEAD AND THEN IMMEDIATELY SUDDENLY SAY THAT HE IS DEAD AND YOU KNOW WHAT HAPPENED?

EDIT: Okay, I just started Volume 4 apparently.

Wow... these writers are ****ing morons.

Peter fighting to avoid being sucked out of the plane. WHAT THE **** IS THE BIG DEAL? HE CAN ****ING FLY.

Also... him still resisting being sucked out even with the plane ready to hit the ground? Yeah... that's ****ing stupid as shit.

**** YOU HEROES, **** YOU TO HELL!

I actually a lot of season 2 (Adam was awesome) Too bad it was cut short before it really went anywhere.

Season 3 shat all over that though, season 3.5/4 is getting a bit better

I just finished the last of season 3.

This season was incredibly, INCREDIBLY disappointing. I feel cheated and robbed in so many ways it's unbelievable. I don't think I've ever seen a series destroyed as badly as I have this one.

The finale was also not surprising at all. Not the least, single bit. It's predictable. Entirely predictable.

AND FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, STOP BRINGING ****ING NIKKI, TRACY, BARBARA BACK. JESUS ****ING CHRIST, STOP IT ALREADY.

Don't even want to watch season 4. I hope it never comes to fruition. Unfortunately it will though.

The whole puppet master thing also infuriated me. First the guy is caught... later he's supposedly not only killed by Sylar(one would have assumed), but killed in the burning fire. But nope, he winds up later... and then Sylar of course catches him and Presents him to Danko as a gift. And he's inside the facility. But no wait, Sylar has his ability in the finale so supposedly he's dead after all.

What is it... is the ****er dead or not? Jesus Christ.

This show has officially drained down the hole.

Thank God 24 is beating Heroes with ratings 10 to 1.

I've never seen 24. Don't want to either.

I DEMAND A CONTINUITY WIPE

RESTART FROM SEASON TWO'S BEGINNING WHEN YOU STILL HAD THE MOLLY WALKER PLOT HOOKS

SURE MICAH AND MOLLY WOULD SUDDENLY BE ABOUT 4 YEARS OLDER BUT WHAT THE HELL BLAME IT ON TIME TRAVEL

Did you happen to miss that 12 block or whatever episode chunk where Sylar learns how to take people's powers without killing them/opening their heads?
