Well I do, the last few episodes before the break were actually pretty decent, and I actually liked tonights episode so maybe the show is back on track? WHO KNOWS.

in other news:

I stopped watching about 4 episodes into this season.

I stopped watching about 2 episodes into season 2.

Season one was awesome.

I laughed at that .gif, though.

I'm watching the new episode right now. It seems pretty good so far. I am really interested in how it's all going to end, it kind of reminds me of X-men; the world vs. the mutants kind of a thing

I'll give it a watch and see. They're touting a return to form or something like it now that they replaced the writers.

So I hear.

Meh.

Season One is where it was at. I think it's too... snarled, now.

Personally I stopped watching after the end of Season One.

That
Sylar didn't die
was just a terrible warning signal - as if their conduct over the preceding season had not already been enough - of how the writers were going to operate.

Well, I wouldn't know since I haven't bothered to watch it!

The long-term game plan of the writers consists of "**** around repeatedly back and forth until in the last two episodes wrap it all half up in a half-baked way". The spoiler I mentioned basically signifies their lack of judgement in working out where to end things and where to begin them. Not only could they not make a proper ending, but they couldn't make a proper new start for the next time either. Being straight about it would be fine. Instead, they ****ed around. Borrrring.

I basically really enjoy individual Heroes episodes - they're tense, dramatic, well-scripted, and fun - but when you start to watch a large arc you realise that the little chunks aren't being properly linked up to make a decent macro-story in the way that they are in. say, BSG. Take - what was it? Company Man? Where nukeface invades the house with Barney the Psychic Cop? Fantastic episode. It was one of the first episodes I watched, and it made me want to actually go through the whole series. But when I did I realised there was hardly any buildup to that episode, and that soon after it almost everything went back to normal.

I was pretty pissed with the lack of Sylar death at the end of the first season too, but they did such great things with the character since then that I was willing to forgive it.

Unfortunately that didn't stop them from running the show into the ground. I gave up watching a few episodes ago. :(

I completely agree with sulks on this, I stopped after season 1. As such I haven't been as disappointed as others but I'm not surprised either.

I watched all of season's 1 and 2, and although season 2 was an insufferable experience, I kind of want to watch season 3. How would you say it compares to season 2?

It's even worse.

It seems they've completely changed the writers. They're so new that they forgot how Peter's power works.

God damn it, Heroes. It could've been so good.

Couldn't even make it through the premiere of season 1.
"Save the cheerleader?" WTF?

I'm pretty sure that was like 4 episodes in before they started with that. Don't let bad marketing prevent you from watching (what was) a good show.

To be fair though Sylar has become the best character on the show.

I do agree, he is freakin' amazing now. But one thing I don't understand is that
Who is Sylar's real dad? I kinda missed that part. How many dad's does he have? I also loved the part where those guys were trying to capture Sylar but he was like "Nu-Uh bitch! I'm Sylar!"

ANYTHING is better than season 2 so that's a fairly low standard.

but i thought it was a step in the right direction

It felt like Volume 3 was just cleaning up the mess of Season 2.

Sylar's real dad was the brother of the watch repairer. Sylar would've known if he'd been lying, lost it and gone nuts on him.

You might as well, if it doesn't involve much effort. I could run through the important things that happen for you if you wanted though.

I'd just go for it and watch 'em.

I'll probably watch it simply out of morbid curiosity.

The way I figure it is, that the root problem lies in that the vast majority of "heroes" have one power, but the reality is that one power alone is generally rather pants most of the time, where as Peter & Sylar (who are really 'super heroes' Vs the rest) have mad skillz loads of powers and subsequently wazz on everyone else from a great height...

They needed there to be more of a balance so one group doesn't outweigh the others, unfortunately the writers haven't managed this and the shows lurched around like a 14 year old at a frat party, uncertain as to which way to fall.

I thought season 3 so far was excellent, and I hated season 2.

They got rid of most of the annoying characters.

Well with season 3, Id say about 90% of it was horrible. The last few episodes were actually pretty good though, and with the first episode of the new volume it seems like they might possibly be going back to some actual good shit. I'll have to wait until next week though.

ONE CAN HOPE.

Watched season 1 cuz the girlfriend made me then lost interest. From what I've seen of seasons 2 and 3, I don't regret it.

I love how Claire's blood became the plot device equivalent of Easy-Off BAM! for character death since they apparently don't know how to write anyone off the show.

Dude are you kidding me? They've killed off more characters than I can remember!

And brought back half of them.

Still, I miss Radioactive Man. **** yeah, Ted!

Ive only ever watched a few episodes when ive been bored and sat in front of the tv,didnt get into it just came across as an X-men wannabe.

Sylar got a sidekick. Pretty rad. Seeing him back to his old murderous self puts a smile on my face. He really is the best reason to watch the show.

My brother says this is going kind of holocaust and this season is the best so far aside from 1.

Is he right?

The series is trying to reboot itself. Get back to the core cast of characters, start a new plot arc. Sylar's back to being an awesome villain. Certain people have lost their powers or had their powers changed. It's definitely off to a good start in my opinion.

I wouldn't say Sylar seems to be a villian, but the series is definately picking up track. Someone's doing something right with that show again.

Heroes has been shit since the season finale of season 1.
