I didnt think they would give him a name. Duke vs Gordon would be interesting. Both of them killed a hell of a lot of aliens in an invasion. I think Gordon just turns from a normal everyday scientist trying to survive, into and asskicker in HL2.

lets look at this objectively, shall we?
Doomguy or Flynn Taggart, whatever you want
-Wears standard space marine armor, exposed stomach and arms
-Trained soldier, last one left on mars if i remember correctly.
-Fought the extradimensional armies of hell on earth and mars
-Made a cameo appearance in quake 3 and in duken nukem 3d (as a "doomed space marine")
-Weapons of particular interest include chainsaw, bare fists, BFG9000 and plasma gun, most of the rest of his arsenal is standard stuff i.e. shotties chainguns, etc.
-Hasn't seen a woman in God knows how long...
Gordon Freeman
-Wears HEV, exposed head
-Scientist gone commando
-Fought the extradimensional forces of Xen, been teleported one too many times, fought against US marines and US black ops and is currently employed by mr. G-man
-Made cameo appearances in Blue Shift and Opposing Force
-Weapons if particular intrest include crowbar, snarks, gluon gun, tau cannon, and hive hand, rest of arsenal is usual assortment of explosives and guns (NEW WEAPONS) manipulator, incendary gun thingy, 1 armed dune buggy, and antlion spores.
-Only woman seen by him seems to be the holo-lady at the hazard course and the assassin ladies trying to snipe him full of holes
Duke Nukem
-Wears Tshirt, Jeans, and bandolier (possibly a jetpack too)
-Badass who quotes Bruce Campbell
-Fought against the police forces of an alien race after they trashed his bike
-Don't recall any cameos
-Weapons of interest include, ability to highkick really high, freezegun, shrinkgun, infinite cash (not really a weapon) rest of weapons are the usual assortment of guns and explosives
-Is surrounded by babes half the time

-Wears full body powered suit
-Specifially bred for combat
-Stopped entire extraterrestrial forces of the covenant armada
-Don't recall any cameos
-Weapons of particular interest include scorp. tanks, warthog trucks, ghost bikes, and banshee planes,various plasma based alien guns, sticky plasma 'nades, and clubbing people, rest of his weapons are standard assortment of guns and explosives
I'd say its a pretty even match between gordon, M-chief, and doomguy. I'm pretty sure that unless duke uses his shrink or freeze guns that he'd be the first to get taken out due to lack of any significant armor.
Unless Master Chief was able to get in a tank he'd probably get taken out next. Even if he did get in a tank, the tanks inability to take a direct rocket without killing the driver leaves much to be desired. Also even though he can flip a jeep with his bare hands, he's not very fast and his biggest gun the rocket launcher is a dumb fire with slow reload time and his sniper rifle always gives away his position.
Gordon's ability to put a shield between him and his opponent using the manipulator would be a defenite bonus, as well as his ability to move hella fast. His weapons such as the tau cannon laser guided rocker, or gluon gun can put an even match against doomguy. however doomguy does have a rapid fire rocket launcher, a chaingun, a plasma gun and the BFG9000.
The winner in a big gun fight would most likely be between gordon and doomguy, most likely whoever got the drop on the other. Gordon with his tau cannon and Doomguy with his BFG.
If the fight was between handheld weapons doomguy would win. Duke's high kicks are no match for pistol whipping, chainsaws, or 100 mph crowbar whacks. then chainsaw being the most deadly
If it was a vehicle fight gordon would win hands down. M-Chief would get shot out of his tank by one measily rocket, duke and doomguy would be stranded on foot and/or run over at some point, and gordon would be driving around like a psychopath in his oddly indestructible dune buggy shooting up the others with his hood mounted tau cannon
In dealing with women, duke would win with his mad pimping skillz, M chief, Gordon and doomguy would be fish out of water in such a scenario.
Involving puzzles gordon would win because "he's a trained professional" while master chielf and doomguy just blew things up and the most puzzles duke did was collect keycards and slam nuclear trifold symbols with his fist.
