I thought I'd start a thread for the greatest songwriter to ever grace the Earth: Bob Dylan. What are your thoughts on him? Favorite songs? Bands/artists who remind you of him?

Lets see my favorite Bob Dylan song...thats a real tough one. Hurricane, Knockin' on Heaven's Door, and Mr. Tamboruine Man are great, but there's so many others. How about you?

I'd have to say that Steve Earle and Steehler's Wheel always reminded me of him.

Steehler's Wheel did that sort of tribute song, "Stuck in the Middle with you" not a bad try since most people think it is a Bob Dylan song.

Most people my age (17) don't give a flying **** about Dylan whn i tell them how great he is...yet they love 'Bright Eyes' who i think are good but 'I'm wide awake it's morning' is such a Dylan album its untrue... yet they still wont listen... fools...

Anyway I love 'Talking World War 3 Blues', 'Talkin' bvear mountain picnic massacre blues' and 'girl from the north country'.
