Hey all,
Let me introduce myself. My name is Sophie Kato, I am currently 19 years of age, and I am currently attending Texas Christian's University in Fort Worth, Texas. I am aiming to recieve my degree in Computer Science, which I hope will be succesful.
I grew up in the Texas area. I have lived in Minnesota for two years as well as Australia for six months and New Zealand for six months. For some reason I am drawn back to the southern area. Maybe because most of my family lives here, or maybe my passport and visa ran out in Australia? Either way you look at it I live in a good area. It's a good thing I came back or I don't think I would have been drawn into gaming and game development.
In my spare time I like to sketch, 3D Modeling, as well as programming. I have been drawing ever since I could hold a crayon and I don't think I will ever stop. I have a strong passion for creating and I really want to make it a full time job. Although I probably would jump at just about anything offered to me, in the game industry. I enjoy finding new ways to push the limits of game engines. Most of the time I think of a effect or a model I would like to build then think how can I accomplish this in XYZ game. 99% of the time I can pull it off without a code being added. I usually stick to the most popular titles to edit but I have been known to mess with any map/scenario editor I can get my hands on. Just to see how it works. I enjoy all types of art and study it often, it is great to see how other artist build their work. I like reading tutorials and finding new ways to use the tools I work with on a daily basis.
I also like just looking at things and thinking of how I would sketch it or build it in 3D. When I was using World Craft, I would do this a lot. It is always better to have some physical reference when building something out of 3D.

I have two cats, which names are Danger and Maisie. I never thought I would have cats, tho I have grown attached to them. Danger lives up to his name. Oh, the stories I can tell you about that cat. Someday I might even write and illustrate a children’s book about Danger. Maisie is the most lovable cat you could ever have. I think she is the only reason I now like cats. Her growth was stunted when she was very young because her and her mother where abandoned just after giving birth. I don't know what happened to Maisie's mother, tho I hope she was picked up and given to a good home. I picked Maisie up from a rescue shelter thinking she was six-eight weeks old but later found out at the Veterinarian that she was five months old. After several months she was on her feet and wanting to play. Now four years old and still retains some of her kitten qualities both in looks and in spirit. She is always willing to play and can never be pet enough. If you ever come over to my place please pet my cat, so I can stop.
I enjoy all types of video games and could go on and on about my favorite ones and what makes them so great. Don't even get me started on creating custom content for a game; trust me, I will never shut up.

I am hoping to have alot of fun here, as well as possibly helping a few modifications (Can't wait untill the damn SDK!). Hope to see everyone around!
