Hi, I got a question about HalfLife2

Sorry if I posted it in the wrong place but I really need help I'm stuck at the first part of the game, where you jump out of a window then there is a door but you can open it and there is a barrel, What am I suppose to do there if I can't open the door?

Can you provide any images, or be more specific? I'm having a hard time visualizing where you're at.

Oh, wait, I think I might know where you are. The door is opened a creak, right? Just press your USE button on it and walk in. There should be a loading screen.

Yes the one with the creak, and I play it on my Mac, usually what is the default letter for USE? Can I change it in the movement option area?

Usually it's 'E,' and yes, you can change it by going to your keyboard settings. Personally, I use KP_HOME because I'm left-handed. Hope this helps.

Me too I'm lefty but I put it V cause apperantly I can't change the moving keys to the actual ones (instead of W---> Up) and I have no mouse so V is closest to the trackpad

Anyways I did a lot but now im stuck in a part, I took a screenie but I have no idea where does it save to, any suggestions on where I can find it?

I'm not certain, but my best bet is that they're in Program Files/Steam/SteamApps/username/half-life 2/hl2/screenshots. And if I read this correctly, you said you don't have a mouse?

Yup, I play all my games without mouse (CoD4,Quake,Counter strike etc.)
Hey anyways, Im running on Mac so I don't have Program files and stuff like that, so can you just tell me when you save a screenie what is it called so that I search it.

Since you are having trouble at a fairly early and simple part of the game I would advise you use a walk through guide to help you find your way until you get used to how to find your way in FPS single player games.

Also, I'm sure you've got used to gaming without a mouse but it is far easier and more enjoyable with a mouse, as the vast majority of players will tell you. A simple USB mouse would enhance the experience significantly. I'm left handed too, but use the mouse right handed (but you can use a mouse left handed and mirror the buttons).

I was thinking of buying the magic mouse by apple, cuz a sony black one wouldn't look good on my mac D: And even though I'm left handed Im used to the mouse with the right hand so it's alright, I just don't wanna buy one right now.Anyways I figured almost everything out I got passed that part, thanks guys!

Crap I read the walk through but i think im completely stuck here, I have a boat im stuck in an area where i have to go jump UP HIGH cuz i have to use the boat because the ground is green and when i touch it I get hurt.

The problem is theres like a SEE-SAW but no matter what i put it wont go down so i cant jump with my boat.

This is like the worst explanation ever so if u dont understand i will post a SCREENIE.

Robben, have you tried the blue barrels, and putting them under the see-saw? There should be a cage on the underside, under the water where you can put them.

The blue barrels float, and enough of them will let your airboat go over the ramp.

Alternatively, retrace your steps, find a ladder, walk across the top of the big pipes and then across a rickety wooden walkway, onto the small balcony, and push the washing machine off it. That'll raise the ramp.
