Hi - i've got some texture probs - they're just twinking

Hi !

I have the game from about November 2004. All the time i'm playing the game, textures, are just blinking , twinking and winking...
1. How to make it to stop?
2. Is there any patch or something else for steam users?

Athlon - now working on 2085Mhz
HD 120 Gb
Radeon Asus ATI 9600 XT
756 Mb DDR Ram

P.S. How to attach screenshot to this message: the "Menage Attachments" tab isn't working ...???
 
Steam updates the game automatically so that probably isn't your problem.

Latest drivers for your vid card? Have you tried tweaking the graphical detail ingame?
 
Mmm, could be a problem with the game .gcf files. There was a thread somewhere on the Steam forums where there were links that would verify your game files with steams current ones and if they were different then Steam would re-download the file to you.

You could try that.

It solved a couple of problems I was having in CounterStrike Source. Otherwise I would recommend getting a slightly more up to date video card. A Radeon 128MB 9800 XT Catalyst card will be quite cheap now, as the X800T (or whatever they call it, can't be bothered to look) is out.
