iv only just become intrestered in modeling and i heard about XSI and valve use it having no modeling knolage at all i was woundering if any1 could make a tutorail or give me a link 2 one i would be very glad

I recently downloaded the Softimage|XSI Half-Life 2 tool, but I don't know how to do anything with it and I don't want to set my desktop resolution to 1280x1024 kthx.

People will probably help you better if you spend more time trying to spell.

also, yeah it sucks you gotta change your resolution, but i don't know of a way around that.
