go to \WINDOWS\system32\oobe\images and have a listen to title.wma. Its actually pretty good.
 
where is that from, i heard it once.
 
IIRC it's from Dxdiag, if you try the sound test.
EDIT: Ah not that, isn't that from the XP wizard or walkthrough? If you have the time, goto C:\WINDOWS\Media and load up "town". It's great.
 
It plays after you install Windows XP and you're going through the walkthrough thingy.

Strange, I have done a half-dozen installs and I have never heard that music before.

It only plays on the first install - i.e. if your sound drivers arent VERY standard (i.e. supported by the limited driver archive) you won't hear it at all, as your sound drivers will be installed afterwards. It's definately this music though, but it has other sounds over the top as the GUI progresses.
