High Definition Orange Box Art for PS3, 360 and PC

Indeed we have seen it already from Smash's previous newspost here however find below 3 high definition shots sent to us from Valve's Doug Lombardi showing the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC box art.[br]

I personally hate the cover. It looks sloppy, non-professional and seems like it took 20 minutes to make.

Don't like it but they have given themselves the impossible task of advertising 3 games on one box. I can't see how they could have worked their way around it. Advertising only Episode 2 would not have worked.

Obviously not, as they've just done it. Regardless, I dislike it, and I'm sure there could of been better pictures to use and a different way to present them, but that's no place for me to tread as I couldn't of done a better job myself.

And box arts aren't that important to me anyway, so this'll do!

I think it's half decent because they have to advertise 3 games with one cover, but in my opinion the only way to come up with a half decent box art at this point would be to sell them all individually, and sadly enough that will not happen at this point.

I'd say... I don't like the cover much myself, but I'm still in awe over how fantastic a deal it is.

Half-Life 2, Episode One, Episode Two, Team Fortress 2, Portal...

Soooo good.

By the way, does anyone know if CS:S will come with it? I know it's hardly a big deal, but for people who don't have it already, it would be nice – especially as some mods require it.

I actually like the cover art alot. If there's one thing I hate its the outdated PC-DVD ROM logo on the PC version box. It looks absolutely archaic next to the flashy PlayStation3 and Xbox 360 fonts.

I miss the classic carton boxes.
Where even a blind man knew what was in a game's box.
Bring back the good ol' fashioned bulky boxes.
They should've made the box completely orange with the three game logos popping out.

PC cover actually looks good with orange stripes on top, but others not so much.

dogboy73 That is bloody awesome, if it came with that cover I would go out and buy it rather than downloading it via steam. I think the box is very important, I don't know why it just is. It's what you read in anticipation in the car on the way home to play the game. The current box looks like one of those 20 in 1 super value games packs. It's not critical but a bit of effort would have been nice.

And how could you possibly know? How can you possibly know what someone will think? "Oh yeah, that guy standing over there will think this boxart looks like crap." YOU can't say what other people will think; some will like it, some won't. It's your opinion, not theirs. Thinking they'll automatically agree with you is just plain arrogance my friend. So please stop going on about how "terrible" the box art appears. Personally, I think it looks OK - could be improved, I have to agree. And that EP2 box art looks f***ing amazing.

That custom boxart really does look amazingly professional. Would've been cool if they'd gone with something like that.

But you know what? I know what's inside the Orange Box either way, and I'm gonna be staring at the box for all of ten minutes before I bring it home, install it, store it away under my desk and put the DVD away in my disc jacket. Ultimately, it doesn't matter.

Design looks shit. I don't like how they've messed with the PC DVD lettering. Hopefully they have to stick to how other PC games do it under European guidelines, maybe that ones just for America.

I'd rather have that really plain orange one they released ages ago.
