doubt this is the 'correct' section for this, but i'd say its the best bet to find ppl who are smart enough to do this.
so as everyone knows most of the multiplayer gamers just want the game to run as well as possible. so if some smart dude could make a guide how to get the best performance out of HL2. and i mean like a cfg file. like all the console commands that boost the performance, while completely disregarding the visual aspect of the game.
and then everyone could tone the minimum settings higher if they want it nicer looking. and also for those people (partly me too) who have a pc that cant really run HL2 that well, it would help them enjoy singleplayer too.
btw, dont post if you just gonna say: "but why tone down a pretty game like this?"
or: "the human eye cant even see past 60fps." or something like that. :]
