High ping? Will SOMEONE help me pleaseeeee! Everyone gimme your advice

Whenever I load a server I can't play longer then 30 seconds before I get a 'You've been kicked because your ping is too high' message, then I get disconnected. It's a 1.5mb connection (according to optus) but I'm not entirely sure on that. Will someone please help me solve this problem?

Probably your parents by getting a good internet connection.

1.well whats your ping on the server?
2.make sure you have software closed like p2p programs,and torrents.
3.if you are connected to a network then check other computers for #2

make sure than you have video and graphic card drivers downloaded because i i dnt have my video card drivers downloaded and i was getting a ping of 4325 yes i know its amazingly high
