Highway 17 and the damn buggy?

Once I enter the buggy and the stupid bitch operating the crain drops me on the roof causing the vehicle to sit upside down I can not flip it over. I have tried to flip it from every angle while standing and sitting I have tried grenades and nothing works. I tried the mission on foot and was able to get as far as the bridge with the jump. What am I doing wrong?
