Hint and Occlude!!! dkfsdfj

Alright this is my problem...I got one part of the map where i get a normal fps...then i teleport to another part of the map (Which is a big ass box basically with a rock texture) you are inside of tihs box on a little platform....and the fps there is 12...so im thinking i should use some hint brushes and occlude brushes to lower that fps...here is a drawing i made of what im talking about...IMA GOOD ARTIST!

You should be getting good FPS if there is nothing inside the box. All I can think of is it is rendering something behind a wall or the walls are using a lot of bumpmapping/normalmapping. I would have to see the map to get a better idea though. Also what specs are your PC and is this on fast vis? no vis? or full vis?
 
arg, i didnt mean to spam...i just posted in wrong section...i need more help....i got fx 5200 128mb gforce 4...um its on full vis...and yea
