Hitboxes

Just a question, I've haven't played CSS in ages and today I played some and it felt very different. Have the hitboxes been changed? (Or fixed rather). Now when I aim at someone at shoot, the bullets him them, not all around them and when my aim goes off blood doesn't spray out of thin air and register as a hit.

The whole game seems so much better now, but have they actually been changed or is it my imagination. I asked on a few servers and got responses like - "Its jus coz our server is 1337 ^^" or somesuch.

I guess the updates have been secretly fixing the hitboxes...

or it could be ur just getting better...then the game seems easier, or doesn't feel like it has crappy hitboxes anymore...

the game in my opinion has made the hitboxes worse if have been on many servers while spectating someone with 50-80 ping they pop about 3 shots in a guys head and nothing happens when the other person kills the person i was spectating i see the 3 bullit marks on his head. there have also bee ocasions where i have seen people shoot 3-4 feet behind someone and kill them. this is all very recently

I noticed the exact same thing when I stopped for a week and started again (round about June time). I asked the same question and got a similar response. I think like most games, but CSS especially is a game that requires frequent breaks.

Unlucky you, find some decent servers. I get the blood-on-model-though-no-hit very rarely.

I guess it's just my imagination, or I just realised my internet's been upgraded to 2mb recently. The last time I played CSS was on 750k but I don't think that would make any difference. A good score for me used to be about 8-2 or a more frequent score would be something like 8-12, but now I'm frequently getting scores like 18-2 and 15-1 I figured I was just playing with people who were crap but it's pretty damn consistant. Guess I just got better during my few months off

I don't bitch about little things often, but the last couple of weeks, It seems I'm shooting in the head, but most times, a bit too high to hit the hitbox or something. It sucks, I guess I should start aiming at the neck-area from now on..
