HL:S cant be a completely direct port..

..cuz that'd be so friggin boring! The physics you'd see is grenades/ragdolls... you wouldnt get any bits of crap flying everywhere from grenades or anything :(

Please tell me they're adding bits of crap?!
 
They're only adding physics, shadows, nice water effects and some lighting shaders

Look forward to our mod when all of HL is updated to modern day standards
 
they are also adding new models to the game which helps alot, and probably using less texture compression and less mipmapping.
 
They're updating i believe "0.02% of the game textures" so like 10.

And they're not updating models, just using the BlueShift high poly models

the models in the screenshots are not from blueshift, they are new models made for HL:S, and those screens are a year old, who knows what been changed by now.

I know what hasn't been added: new models.

With bigger (and some never before seen) maps of Black Mesa. Hoping to crush marines and aliens alike in those jeeps :thumbs:
