HL:S Graphic Problems

Hi there,

installed HL:S two days ago, but still have one problem: I can't see my weapons. Tried several graphic drivers, still no success. HL² was proper, I can see my weapons and i don't have any graphical problems with this one.

My specs:

ASUS M6700N (nice notebook)
ATI 9600Pro Mobile w/ 64MB
512 MB RAM

Any ideas?

Did you make sure to verify your files to ensure they're not corrupted?

Yep,

every game is validated and up-to-date. Found some threads about the same problem in the Steam forums, noone was able to help those who have the same problems, I also tried some console commands (r_drawmodel...) but no success. Seems to be another bug like that stuttering and the other graphic issues.

Nice other problem atm: I'm behind 56k here, Steam didn't work in offline mode (yes, I also installed the "offline-mode-fix" last sunday), i had to go online and it downloaded 4MB in the last 20 minutes (yes, auto updates of the steam games are disabled). Nice one Valve. Really. I'm really begin to hate this STEAM CRAP. :sniper:

Time has come to get the "offline installation packet" from Vengeance's release on Monday. Valve made me sick with this...
