HL: Squad2 Demo?

demo version of Half-Life called "Squad2",

how did the world miss this demo? for years i've searched for half life demos, the only ones that were promised to have existed were Uplink and Day One, Day One I believe wasn't official either.

Squad2? How many more are there.

It was an AI simulation, and wasn't released to the public. It was most likely a in-house demo test for members of the press to take a look at.

Whoa good point i never new valve had so mutch trouble keeping there code in original HL. they really need a better security system. what did you find this "squad2" and if theres a sqaud2 there must be a spaud 1?

Doubtful.

It is rumoured that some stuff from the E3 2003 demo won't be in the game, and it's unlikely we'll ever play around in that; unless of course you've downloaded and played the stolen build.

What gave you the idea something was leaked!?

It was just a demo thing that they released to certain people in the early days of HL development to show the AI.

I actually have Day One on CD. The CD looks like the Half-Life CD excepts its white and has "Initial Encounter" printed on it. It's basically just the Day One demo, which has different models for the med packs and HEV canisters. Kinda interesting.

Didn't one of the Valve guys (Greg Coomer i think) say that he has a copy of the original game with the original content that got leaked sometime in '95? If so, then that is still around out there somewhere.

What exactly d'you mean by "stuff"? As in the levels we saw?
