hl1 more graphically intense than hl2????

erm guys i have a problem with my gma 3100
it seems i lag more in hl1 than hl2!!!
when i play zombie plague on cs i get like 4 fps most of the time!!!and thats lower when i play tf2 on swiftshader!!!!!!
and when i look at certain things such as a door(glass door)it goes to 4fps??
and when i used my worst unichrome igp,i have better fps???
this is very weird
i think my computer doesnt like the goldsource engine.....:flame:

ok first of all i use opengl
cos when i tried d3d it switched back to software
and yes its on steam all updates downloaded 100 percent
and im using windows xp
but even though the gma 3100 has higher clock rate and better shader pixel/direct x than the s3unichrome it cant handle zombie plague???
