Hl1 Mp3 player problem

Ive had this problem for a while... I dont play Hl1 much I just play a few mods but the problem is that my game crashes when I activate the Mp3 player in esf. It seems that noone else has this problem, but I have the same problem with Natural Selection as well, except with natural selection mp3's are played by default and I crash on most levels because of it. So does anyone know why my hl1 mp3 player is crashing whenever used?

Also Ive tried reinstalling everything and updating my drivers.
