HL2 ascii

Thought I'd try some ascii art, so here is the HL2 logo in .txt format.
It's amazing what you can turn out when you're really bored!

I Think, its done by him.. ascii is a very tough skill to master.. and u seem to have done it well..

I kind of cheated :angel:
Basically I imported the logo in to MS Publisher and made a transparent text frame over the top of it, and filled in the text frame over the top of the pic.
Then I just copied the text frame over to notepad and added the finishing touches there. But I couldn't have done it without having the picture for reference. I'm sure there are a lot of l337 out there who could do it from memory, but this was my first proper attempt at ascii art.

Nonetheless an awesome job, I can never figure how people know which characters to use where, there's some pretty skilled folk out there.

Cool ascii art!

I wrote a converter program a while ago that does a semi-decent ascii art job. Feed it a small image in a common format and it'll generate an ascii rendition, sometimes it doesn't do it so well, but you can play with the contrast or edit it by hand if you want.
