HL2 at next E3??

I was wondering if it has been announced that hl2 will be at the next E3.... maybe they wont wouldent that be scary??

they have been odly quite recently maybe there waiting to EXPLODE at E3 and shortly after release it. What a great time that would be :naughty: :afro: :smoking:

HL2 is already set to break all sorts of sales records imo. Anyone with an internet connection has probably heard of it by now. The window of opportunity to maximise those sales will end if the competition (doom3, stalker) is released before HL2.

It's been in development for 5 years now. If it's not out by E3 next year i'll eat my shoes.

right now i wouldnt mind.....its getting outdated....doom3 looks pretty good.....i cant wait for farcry!!!!!!!! and i might try stalker out....seems like an intresting game.....maybe even killzone.. that would be a neat multiplayer

Jacka** Raven is making it but they liencensed the Doom 3 engine. at 03 Quakecon ID even announced the project sayin it will use ID's lastest AKA the Doom 3 engine theirs also some Concept and early models floating around.

haha what does Sony have to worry about? its a Sony one of the biggest leading Electronic Companies ever. nothing can take the instrest off the PSP this has got to be one of the stupidest post i've seen. anyways people will prolly just trail past the HL2 exhibit because they already saw it so their wont be nearly as much hype. think about it. old hype HL2 or New hype from a company as big as Sony? not to mention a expected Ps3 Demo at 04 E3. get off Valve's nuts.

so true. I think it's VERY possible VALVe planned on showing HL-2 at this year's E3, and then releasing it later, Sept 30, and then showing Team Fortress 2 at next year's E3, and then releasing it around summer. Just my guess.

If you're in the business of games, you need to be at the center of the games business - E3. Mark your calendar for E3 2004 and register today. Conference program begins on May 11, and the Exhibit floor is open May 12 - 14, 2004.

It's at the L.A. Convention Center as in previous years.

E3 has been a drag lately for fans that can't go.
No demos given out, no trailers released on web sites. It's basically turning into a date where devs say "Two more weeks."
I hope this year, someone actually releases a demo for fans to play.

Not really...in the grand scheme of things games like HL2 and Doom3 can't even hope to compete with the Sims or Enter the Matrix or LotR games...they simply don't have the exposure. Sure, every serious and not-serious gamer will buy HL2, but not the 15 year old girls and the moms and all the people that eat up the 'mainstream' games. I mean, Myst broke a bunch of records, and then so did Riven. But Riven SUCKED.

I'm sure HL2 will do very well, but sales records? Doubtful.

Then again, a lot of records that have been set by HL actually have broken records across the board really. GoTY awards, amount of online players/servers etc

I doubt it. Doom 3 isn't even out yet, I give it atleast 1 or 2 years before Quake 4 is shown at E3. They will want Doom 3 to have the spotlight for as long as possible.
