I recently upgraded my PC from that Pentium 3.
Finally eh?

Like the title says, I have been having a problem with HL2 and CS:S randomly crashing, hanging the system, and rebooting it altogether over the past week.
I was stuck with no path to a solution, until about 10 minutes ago I finally got an error message.

See attached image.

Also attached are my current specs.

I'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction. I'm contemplating reinstalling Direct X and my video drivers.

Yeah that fixes the problem at it's source doesn't it.

I've been runing in 8.1 for the time being. It stopped crashing at least.

New error while playing CS:S.

Another while it was just sitting idle.

What the hell is going on?

Is anyone else even having these problems because when I searched the first one it seemed a lot of people had it.

Does anyone recognize these errors? I am getting an even greater variety as I go on.
If I can't solve this soon I am going to smash something expensive.

I am frusterated beyond measure right now.

I should be. There is only one account, mine, and I just installed everything like a 2 weeks ago. Everything is brand spanking fresh.

Only old compenents in the machine are my sound card and wNIC.

I just checked and I am definitely admin, but what does this mean? (pic attached)
