HL2 DLL files not compiling

I'm unfamiliar with VStudio, so this will probably be easy for someone who is. When using the Game_SDK solution, several weapons are described under the "hl\Source Files\HL2 DLL" folder but those files are not compiled when the solution is built. So when I run a map containing the weapon_rpg entity, I get an 'entity unavailable' error. How do I get the HL2 DLL folder to compile along with the rest of the solution?
 
Clarification (can't edit my post), this is when I use the "Create A Mod" feature in Steam and choose "start from scratch". If I choose the other option, the HL2 DLL files compile and the weapon_rpg entity works fine.
 
The SDK is meant for people that already know what they are doing. so if you don't know what your doing. THEN DON'T USE IT!

If he doesn't know what he's doing, how's he supposed to learn except by using the damn sdk?! **** YOU!
