Lower the clock of your ram. Worked for me, and then I could clock the cpu higher cause I used to be limited by ram speed.

PS: I donæt think it is a problem with SP2 because I don't have it and I got the error to... Before I lowered the clock on my ram that is...

I played the crack on SP2, no error. SP2 is perfect. :dozy:

ITS WORKING!!! :E
You just need to delete Steam (save all gcf files) and download it from steampowered.com! then install it and past all the source\CS source gcf files (only!) into SteamApps folder! and thats it! no more memory errors!!!

can i have it again in english so i can fix my crashing errors. maybe step by step cuz i cant understand what the hell you are saying.

lol sorry m8..

The steps are :
1) Go to "Steam\SteamApps" folder and copy ALL the GCF files and place them in ur desktop for now..
2) Delete Steam through "Add or Remove programs"!!
3) Download this Steam installer and install it!
4) Load steam and after all the updates are gone close steam.
5) Now, copy ONLY this gcf files back into ur SteamApps folder:
base source shared.gcf
counter-strike source base content.gcf
counter-strike source shared content.gcf
6) Just load steam and u're ready to play CS:S!! :E (after u load cs:s u can copy all the gcf files back to ur SteamApps folder)

Thats it!! thats what I did and it worked!! SWEAR! :p
Enjoy! :)

so wait a sec, u removed all the GCF's, then removed Half life 2 through and steam through add/remove programs, then reinstall and copy them all back over including the source engine ones, and the hl2 ones? or just cs:s ones? seems a bit risky to me.
