HL2.EXE problem with memory not read.

I got the Infamous problem with the memory not read error.
i tryed the non steam one and it works fine expect i can not connect to any servers
because it says "different Version" if possible find the to solutions please.
this rut is killing me.

Well its the half-life 2: deathmatch
i have both steam and non steam
