thing is, regardless of it being true or false, you need steam to activate it :D
 
Yep, VALVe won't validate it, therefore the game is rendered useless.
 
but rumor is that if stores sell it early than valve will have to unlock it for everyone. :D
 
Yeah, thats in november right before its going to be released, about the 14th or so, not in october.

...and what if there is some chance you get caught out by steam.. you are probably looking at losing 60 bucks for just being impatient.

we waited a long ass time, a couple extra weeks won't kill us.

The part that i loved was waldo coming onto the fourm.

Seems like valve is very egar to findsomeone with half-life 2.

I dont think they care weather or not its bought or stolen, as soon as they see some shread of evidance that its out their, steam will have it :)

Half-Life 2 must already be shipping to stores for Valve to actually take notice in that thread. OR! Seeing as games just so happen to get GANKED off the assemble line....

Does anyone know if that would be long distance from Denver? We don't have long distance...
 
Holy shit, i just called BEST BUY in COLORADO, that exact store that some guy gave the numbers to on the forums, and they have it coming in on 11.05.04...FOR SURE..they said.
 
Dont know... If someone has one of those cell phone plans where you never pay long distance that would be sweet.

I called one in tucson and got the same answer. I dont think they actually know.
 
Well if that's the case with the game coming in early, it will SURELY be out before the 16th. It's possible within 2 weeks it may be unlocked on steam.

This is exactly why I didnt buy steam. Just watch, in 2 weeks I'll have my retail copy and all of you will just have to wait.

The steam forums are some of the worst on the net. Any post at all gets flamed there. The only more flame happy forum is on bodybuilding.com. Now THAT place is packed with assholes.

You won't be able to play until its unlocked on Steam, at which point in time we will be able to play. :p
