Yeah last week I just went to some good servers and typed in the console "record blah". Then when I stopped playing, I started recording with Fraps and typed in the console "playdemo blah" and it did the rest from there. Heavy use of editing though but in the end it turned out pretty good.

Well, I intended to make a Episode 2 gameplay trailer today, but my fraps is unregisted and can only handle about 30FPS and I dont have a decent editor = goodbye this thread

man... i wish my game looked that good, with all the bloom and reflactions and the fire lighting... My computer isn't super old, but it got a huge virsus somehow about 6 months ago and its doing better (six months ago, if i tried CS:S, it would crash 5 seconds in), but I have to play everything on it's lowest settings and set our graphics card to only high performance and low quality... the games look like crap, but it works.

Huh I have too badass pc to record good looking vid from TF2 so I have to give .dem to someone to record it :S

Um.. wow.. just tried to record something with fraps, but it wasn't too successfull.

Upon starting the recording the FPS went down to 15 fps, and everything became extremely laggy and it stopped recording after about 30 second and left a 111mb movie file that was sped up and the voices sounded like chipmunks.

Think I'll give this one a miss!

i recommend a making a .dem than record it off-line or use included in new source recorder.
