how about you have to have a valid HL2 cd key to post here? would drastically cut down on people who just come here to waste time. it would also focus the member audience a lot more. won't get as much riff raff. but i can't imagine anyone paying just to post on a message board.

The Neverwinter Nights boards did this, but that was on Bioware's official site. There was still a forum for everyone, though. It actually worked quite well.
