HL2 not on release list?

For some reason, Gamespy doesn't think it is coming out next month. Do they know something we don't, or has Fragmaster and the "OMG THEY CHANGED THE RELEASE DATE ON HL2 NEWBIES" gotten to them?

Edit: Maybe they are mad because, with steam, they will be obsolete.

I agree. Gamespy is the damn devil. They suck at reviewing (too biased) and offer no insight on anything. Besides that they are obessesed with making you pay.

Yeah, I hate those stupid ads that you have to watch before you can see the server list. I've been with Gamespy since they bought out Mplayer.com. I loved Mplayer.com and I was pissed to see it go. They bought out their only competition. Damn monopolies.....

Gamespy is only surpassed by Microsoft in terms of evilness. But I have to say, if Valve completes this game by September 30th, it will be the first time they get something done in time.

All seeing eye is good, but I like to be able to chat with my friends, and join their games. Gamespy is the only current solution for this. Till Steam comes out of beta with HL2 in all its glory.

gamespy doesnt update release dates much at all, their a pretty horrible source for that

I wouldn't doubt HL2 is delayed.. but I sure as hell it's not til November or later like many are saying.. Hopefully just a week or 2 and thats it because much longer and interest will die down for some who are anticipating an early October release.

Woo, the updated their lists when Vivendi told them the game was delayed and they haven't changed it back yet.

It's not really that much of a deal.

GameSpy has been trying to corner every aspect of the online gaming market for years so with steam coming along I imagine they're not best pleased.

The trouble with GameSpy is that they don't give a flying **** about the people who are dumb enough to support them. They fill their websites and applications with adverts and the communities that form with them are usually full of abusive, unintelligent, cheating brats.

Gamespy is the cancer of PC online gaming. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise.
