Hey,

I am making a HL2 Ocean based mod, and because of stupid vbulliten my post was deleted...so I have to post again(it loged me out):flame:.
Anyways, after that you dont feel like writing all that stuff:o.

I am looking for a team, I need the following:

Coders
Modelers
Skinners
2D Artists
Think you can do somthing else? Post and you might be able to.

Ok quick..This mod is a ocean based mod. All the characters are from the ocean. It is an MP game not SP. Um..You can build...Their attacks are based of what they are in the wild...

Sorry for the lame discription, but because of vb...yeah, look if you contact me I will be glad to tell you :naughty:
 
Give us some more details please... (yeah, I know your post was deleted and you don't want to post it again... but do it before Fenric arrives....)

Ok...There are 4 teams: Fish, Mamals, Reptiles and Crustations. The charcters are real and they use the same attcks as they use in real life, but with a few modifications. Just like NS, you can build...It's not a rip of ns. You swim around in the ocean, in dark and light parts(deep sea, reefs, ect). The main point of the game is to take over! Just like DoD, how you must capture the flags..
 
Only deleted thread in this section for about a week was a spam thread from another user

So dunno what happened to your last thread. Definately never existed, but I have at times written out large posts and had the lot lost, sucks :)

No it isnt a CS clone..pfft lol.

It's quite basic, ocean life...but you(the player) controls it :P.

Well its an old style, but I like the fish twist to it. Though I'm sure you'll get people saying your copying shark tales and finding nemo heh. But it sounds interesting and will make a change from the usual kind of thing. Could look very pretty too, colorful fish of all shapes and sizes, be a good excuse to use some fancy shiny shader effects too on the fish scales.

I'd say go for it, like the other guys mouse mod, it could end up being an unexpected success
 
I think it sounds quite good :)
could be kinda relaxing swimming around as a fish in the barrier reef taking nips out of other fish :p
would it have to be action oriented though?
it would be better as a calm game with ambient music and more of a fortress building thing instead of a destroy the other team and capture the flag.

p.s. the dark elf = fenric
he changed his name not too long ago :frown:

p.p.s. the fortresses could be sand castles :)

Thanks for your suggestions :P glad you like it...um..it's more smooth if you want to play it that way....but if you choose a shark(could be a character) then it would seem your out for action...dark elf? hmm...lol.

This talk is good, but mostly I need staff...I would prefer to talk about it once more progress has been done, I dont want to tease...
 
You should make it each team gets a driveable ship (im sure you could so it somehow with the new HL2 vehicles...) and you try to board the other ships :D thatd be awesome to the max. (yeah i mean like a sailing ship, and you like fight on the ocean!!)

Well maybe it should be? Swimming around in the ocean doesnt beat pirates! YARRRRR!! :D

this forum is the biggest spam place......no pirates!!!! if you like them go play PVK or sumfin...please only post in this thread if you want to join

I was still deciding on this...but I was thinking on a similar idea...like the animals had nuclear shit and were all mutant...but yeah....god damn it, dont hijack my thread! :P
 
I would join... but it sounds like the pirates would have to much advantage over the fish? :O :thumbs:
 
ahh thats it...I cant find any serious people, so I give up on this...
 
I'm serious. I like your concept if it's sorta like that old RPG that came out for DC where you where a dolphin.
