HL2 on this?

Will HL2 run well on this setup?

If so what settings do you think would be optimal?
How many fps do you think I will get?

CPU: AMD Athlon XP 2500+
VGA: GeForce4 5200 FX
RAM: Kingston 512 DDR
Motherboard: ABIT nForce2
Power: 420 w.

type in the console a command that makes it force dx7 and you should get reasonable FPS... seriously upgrade that hunk o shit vid card

The 5200 FX Only supports DX7? It says it supports dx9 on the box.

However I am thinking about getting new parts in the next few months. I'm waiting for the the nForce4 series to comeout first though. I wanna get a SLI and dual process 2 6600 GTs.

I have a 5200fx its pretty crappy but when I changed the dx level to 7 it switched it back to 8 btw to change level console command mat_dxlevel 70 it doesnt look that that bad just alot of eye candy = gone. Oh ya 5200 supports 9.0 but you wouldnt want to get like 0fps now would you... and i dont think you can get SLi because its PCI express only but Im probably incorrect..

Only problem is the video card. FX 5200 is awful. Otherwise, your system is OK.
