HL2 Pictures/Images and copyrights

Just a quick question, a friend is designing a logo for me for a hl2 community. He has used certain symbols etc that are more then likely copyrighted by valve.

Does anyone have any info on using valve pictures atc?

or an email address to ask for permission.

They havent complained yet... I dont think they care as long as its for the HL2 fans

i might ask makers of this site if they asked for permission to use hl2 images.

Using images is completely free unless you try to sell the art with the logo on it with no permission I think, but posting it and keeping it on your computer isn't illegal.

actually it is still copyright infringement what most people do on this board whenever they either use image collages or the logos... but since Valve hasn't responded to it yet, it seems they're ok with it.
