So everyone can preload HL2

Only do it if you plan on buying it from steam though....
and no price is given for what it will cost in the end.

Won't there be a link in steam the moment that link works?

Yes, they haven't released it yet so that link won't work, he did detective work to find that as we usually aren't supposed to find that stuff ;) We are good though :imu:

Damn it, i just finished clicking the link 50 times and it didnt work... oh woe.

well you have to do it while hopping on one foot, sorry forgot that little detail

Just give it time, this is a sign that it closer to release than we expect.

;)

instead of wasting my time, ill just wait for the game to get released.

It says, "Pre-load now. Purchase when ready."

Seems to me you'll be able pre-load the game whether you purchase it through Steam or not. I plan to pre-load it then register with the CD-key from my boxed copy. That way I'll be able to play as soon as I get home without having to wait for the install.

I'm going to install as soon as its ready without having to wait to get home :)

Wow, that's pretty neat! Seems to me as that will either be a pop-up winodow, or it will go to the "browse games" tab in steam.

Or even better....

Get your Dad/mom/girlfriend/friend/aunt/uncle etc.. to go buy the game and as soon as they leave the store... open it and then phone you and tell you the code...

Thats a good 30 minutes traveling time cut right there!

Sneeeeeaky  I doubt my mother would like to stand in a shop for 5 hours while 25+ hardcore gamers are flocking around her until midnight though ;)
