HL2: SATA or IDE?

Hey guys, I currently have a standard 60G IDE HD and I am running out of room. I want to expand my storage space. I am not too pleased with the loading times in HL2. Would a SATA HD speed them up at all? I don't want to spend the money for a 10,000 rpm drive, just a 7200 sata. Would the faster hard drive speed up any other aspects of the game? Thanks.

Not unless you have a 5200RPM or lower now...

If you have less than 1GB of ram, get a stick of 512.

It can never hurt to have more space, when you are running out.

I have a 7200 rpm SATA drive; the only difference I've noticed between it and my old 5200 IDE is the speed at which it defrags.

Subatomic is right in concept, if not in numbers - RAM is the culprit here.
