HL2 Sound Files

Hey, does anyone know how I can acess the sound files from the game? I'm pretty sure I found them, but they are in .cache format. Does anyone know how I can use these files? :afro:

Yes. First download GCFScape, if you haven't already done so.

Then:

->My Computer
->Local Disk
->Program Files
->Valve
->Steam
->SteamApps
->souce sounds.gcf

You need to exit Steam in order to listen.

Thanks, I got it working fine. One more question, when I extract the sound files I want from GCFS, are those sound files then going to be missing from the game? Will I not be able to hear them while playing.
