HL2 surround !!!

I know that HL 2 will be compatible with the surround.
But which surround will be able Dolby digital or dts or both.
I prefer DTS that the best surround a movie can have so for a game like HL 2 that will kick ass.

And you are you dolby or dts ??

My 5.1 speakers kit (Z-680) will support both, so I don't care at all. And I think both are just great for a video-game.

Pff, i really don't give much about the sound in a game.. It can be cool to have surround, but i'm still very happy that i HAVE sound (with my 2 20WATT speakers =))

sound is very important to me!!

There is no way i can or will play hl2 under 5.1, and even at that im gonna use 6.1
hopfully 6.1 is supported by hl2 after a patch like gabe said.

HL (and mods) really don't sound too good when you use headphones. I hope HL2 sounds better, I just bought a really nice pair for $80.

I'have an expensive but performant speaker set (Logitech Z-680), and a pair of cheap but quite good headphones (Philips SBC HP800): only 30€.
