AMD vs Intel

At the highest resolutions with max. AA/AF they are limited by the graphics card although for competitive gamers who generally don't use AA/AF can truely take advantage of the A64.

Though I wish they would have shown the lowest Frame Rate along with average FPS.

to me its a bad review,

only 800x600
and 16x12,

no way that helps me get an idea where a 1024x768 would be at with 6aa and 8af,

really bad review. not practicle at all.

very intresting, just shows how much more effiecent amd is with their clock cycles then Intel is.

An xp 3200+ is basically on par with a p4 3.2c within 1-5%.

thats amazing.

they should have tossed a oced xp-m. I bet my xp-m 2500+ @ 2.5ghz would give the p4 3.2EE a run for it's money (or even win)

its not meant to be a REVIEW its to show how what cpus perform.

the reason they do 800x600 is to show that a) How the cpu's compare to each other.

The only reason they tossed in 16x12 was to show that the Gpu's were the limiting factor at that res, and not the cpu. no point for 1024x768, let alone using aa or af, thats for a graphics review.

what do you guys think 1024 6xaa 8xaff will get in the vst and css test? avg of 100 fps? lows?

Here is an older CPU scaling review. It only shows AMD64 with the 9800XT and 5950Ultra. But it gives you an idea how CSS scales with the AMD64 line and MHz/GHz. ;)
