HL2: Why It Will Be #1

God, from those new screenshots i'm just soooo excited. Guys, try to remember that old first time half-life feeling...the movement, gameplay, all of it. Look at those new screenshots, especially the first one. Just by that picture you can see it's all going to be back. I just can't wait, i'm playing doom a lot and this game and future games won't compare to HL2...you know why? Valve knows how to make that unique one of a kind feeling of a game. Honestly, from all these other multiplayers games online, even though they look better graphically...do you always pick half-life over them, as to that exact feeling for the game, the moving, gameplay, all of it? I pick half-life that's for sure. This game is going to take over the gameplay and feeling of all other present and future games for a long time. If you can't possibly see that, then maybe i just like HL2 more. The day is almost here people!!!

edit: Good lord i just realized how amazing TF2 will look on this engine with all of the realistic weaponary and objects. It will be like playing a new game only running on the source engine and other things valve has added in that fit more with the design of TF2 that wouldn't be in HL2.

He used to be positive about HL2 but apparently he feels cheated about the delays. Its kinda funny though, Doom 3 has been delayed or pushed back just as much as HL2 but he's got nothing but praise for it

doom3 is repetitive, tedious, and predictable. it has no replayability. beat it once and you wont see much of a reason to play it again.

It will be number1 cause all current games out are disgustingly bad... far cry etc. STALKER and Tribes won't be out till next year probably, so it won't have any real contenders

Meh. Those screens are okay. Did you hear a couple of days ago id released something way, way more interesting than screenshots. They released a game.

Screenshots - showing that valve is working hard on perfecting the game and giving us the best experience possible.

D3 release - appeasing the hardcore fans but just finally shipping it without put those extra touches, and some big touches (A.I), and basically just shipping us a $60 engine.

What's funny is, that will be the exact same thing that will happen with HL2. People will bitch and whine about the delays, but once it's released; you won't hear a peep about the delays, just how good the game is.
